Full-grain leather
The top layer of the hide forms the highest quality leather. This favourite among luxury brands retains most of leather’s natural appeal. In contrast to corrected leather, the surface of full-grain leather has not been sanded to remove natural marks. Our full-grain leather variants are finished in one of two ways; aniline and semi-aniline.

Corrected-grain leather
Corrected-grain leather starts out as full-grain leather and is worked to create specific surface characteristics. By coating and sanding the leather we can create a variety of feels and looks. Our wallets made of corrected-grain leather are typically more resistant to water and stains.

Care for your wallet

Leather is a natural material. Some irregularities may be visible on our products, meaning no two wallets are exactly the same. Over time our leather changes appearance by daily use and exposure to the elements.

The leather chosen for our wallets does not require any regular maintenance. If your wallet does get dirty or wet, there are several steps you may want to take to ensure the leather’s look and feel. Depending on the type of leather, there are two ways to go about this

Water-repellent leathers
These leather types have been treated so that the surface can be cleaned with a damp cloth. The leather is unlikely to absorb water or other materials. Therefore, we advise you not to use any polish, as this will only be superficial and actually rub off upon contact with your garments.

Water-absorbing leathers
Since these leathers are prone to absorbing water, we recommend not trying to clean them. Any water or moisture used in this process would be absorbed by the wallet and may change its colour further. If you do get caught in typically Dutch weather and your wallet gets wet, best use a soft cloth to carefully pat it dry.
